We are in the Groot East Service Area.  Call to get garbage and recycling bins dropped off to you.  Our neighborhood pickup day for both garbage and recycling is on FRIDAY, unless a holiday falls before, then it would be Saturday.

Garbage and Recycling Receptacles:  Garbage and Recycling cans should be out no earlier than 7PM the day before pickup. Per the Village of Algonquin, all waste and recycling materials must be placed “in approved containers and stored in a location with minimal exposure to the public view.” The HOA prefers that waste and recycling receptacles are stored in your garage, else they must be shielded from public view with one or more bushes which stay green all year (non-deciduous).

Pets:
Per Village Ordinance, “Pets are to be kept within property limits if they are unleashed and no fence is present”. While the HOA does not allow fences between properties for mowing purposes, they will allow invisible fences. If you choose to have an invisible fence, there must be signage stating an invisible fence is present so it is clear to our landscapers. If not using an invisible fence, you must keep your pet leashed when outside if they will not remain within your boundaries.

Water: Water is managed through the Village. Two things to note:

  1. For new owners the Village of Algonquin/Water Billing should be contacted and notified about the possibility of higher water usage due to newly laid sod. You can ask for a conservation forgiveness in case of use over 20,000 gallons of water per month.
  2. During the summer months, there is often some watering restrictions. Watering restrictions asks residents to water on odd or even days depending upon your address. If new landscaping has been put in than a resident can water more often
